Matt has been a pivotal figure in shaping electoral reform strategy and policy across the United States.

Since beginning his journey at Unite America in 2018, he has advanced through various leadership roles, with his current position of Vice President, Campaigns & External Affairs. In this capacity, he oversees critical programs including campaign investment and advising, electoral strategy, and external relations, while also advising on other key strategic investments. Matt’s work is characterized by a deep commitment to democracy, evidenced by his leadership in helping pass over 20 electoral reform bills and the defeat of numerous others, building bipartisan caucuses and coalitions, and steering significant electoral and policy advocacy programs.

Matt holds a J.D. from Suffolk University and a B.A. in Political Science from West Virginia University, underscoring his solid academic foundation in law and political science. Licensed to practice law in Washington, D.C., and a graduate of the Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership, his expertise is not only recognized in the field but also through numerous publications and media contributions advocating for political unity and reform.
