Muller

Director of People & Talent
As Unite America's Director of People & Talent, Gillian is tasked with the important role of growing our team, all of whom are actively working to advance nonpartisan electoral reform in the nation — a mission that she deeply believes in herself.

Gillian Muller first entered the world of recruitment during her time with The Public Interest Network in Denver, working on their national summer staffing program. She worked to hire over 13,000 young activists and organizers to work on environmental protection issues and electoral work across the country over 3 years. Prior to that, she also ran issue-based and electoral campaigns across Colorado, most notably a campaign that helped lead to the passage of a bipartisan producer responsibility law to curb usage and improve recycling of single-use plastic products. Colorado is only the third state in the country to pass a producer responsibility law.

Wanting to expand her recruitment horizons, Gillian then worked as a consultant to hire senior-level roles at several other nonprofit organizations across the country with a focus on issues like youth development, education reform, and ocean conservation. While she has loved her time working with a variety of organizations, she is excited to solely focus her time and recruitment efforts on a mission she's particularly passionate about at Unite America.

Although she lives in Denver, Colorado now, Gillian is a proud midwesterner, occasionally missing her time growing up in Minnesota. Gillian is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, holding a B.A. in Political Science and Geography.
