Previously, he served as Program Director at the Gill Foundation, the leading funder of LGBT equality in the nation, where he led strategic planning, program implementation, and the organization’s allies and federal portfolios. He has also held communication director roles for notable campaigns and organizations, including in the Colorado House of Representatives; the Colorado Republican Party; and Freedom for All Americans, an LGBT rights group.

Outside of his professional commitments, Owen is pursuing a Master of Arts degree in art history and visual culture, focusing on the art of Colonial New Mexico. In his
downtime, he enjoys reading, exploring art, trying Denver’s newest bars and restaurants, and traveling, always with his partner and closest family and friends by his side.
