He brings nearly two decades of experience in advocacy and coalition-building to this work. Before joining Unite America, Aaron co-founded and served as CEO of the National Cannabis Industry Association, the nation’s oldest and most influential trade association for the legal cannabis industry. In that role, he built bipartisan alliances, shaped legislative strategy, and mobilized the business community to help drive an unprecedented wave of reform, resulting in a majority of Americans now living in states with legal cannabis.

Originally from California’s Bay Area, Aaron now lives in Denver with his wife, Michelle. Together they enjoy cooking, live music, the arts, and frequent travel.
