Milner

CEO & Founder, NuGen Capital
David Milner is the CEO and Founder of NuGen Capital Management, a renewable energy company that develops, owns, and operates large scale solar systems. NuGen has invested in solar, as well as real estate conducive to energy generation, since its inception in 2009.

In 2012, Mr. Milner served as the Chief Corporate Officer overseeing fundraising and corporate involvement in the “Campaign to Fix the Debt,” a national effort founded by Erskine Bowles and Senator Alan Simpson to encourage a comprehensive federal debt deal.

Prior to NuGen, Mr. Milner was a Director of Climate and Alternate Energy at Hastings Funds Management, a private equity fund based in Australia and owned by Westpac Bank. He was the Co-founder of the Climate Leaders Fund (CLF), a private equity fund in the U.S. and Australia. Prior to CLF, Mr. Milner founded a commercial and multifamily residential real estate investment company.

In 1990, David founded Community IMPACT!, a non-profit inner city education and leadership development organization in Washington, DC. David received the “Washingtonian of the Year” award, the Middlebury Alumni Achievement Award, and several other honors for his non-profit work.

David is on the Board of New Senior Investment Group (NASDAQ: SNR), is the Chair of the Board of Trustees at the Sidwell Friends School in Washington, DC and is a Board member of the Samuel Huntington Fund. Mr. Milner has a B.A. in Economics from Middlebury College and was a National Fellow at the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business.
