Guess what?
(*drumroll*)
We have a new website!
It’s true! After many long months of hard work, our new [stunning] website has officially launched.
We’ve redesigned and rethought everything in order to make our website an educational “hub” of sorts; not only do we want you all, as Uniters, to know more about what we’re doing and why, but we also want you to be able to educate your friends and families about things like Ranked Choice Voting or independent redistricting commissions, and other reforms that will fix our broken political system.
As such, please excuse this self-promotional Three Things as we introduce you to all the new things on our website.
1. An answer to the question: what does Unite America do?
Why can’t Washington get anything done? Why do we need electoral reform? What does Unite America even do?
All those answers (and more) are provided on our new Strategy page, which breaks down how exactly we got to a place where political dysfunction reigns, but more importantly, what we can do to solve it.
Bonus: check out the interactive map at the bottom of the page, which was adapted from our 2019 State of Democracy report; see how your state is doing in our four key reforms, and ways to get involved!
2. Investment in electoral reforms starts with the Unite America Fund.
The bulk of our strategy as an organization lies in the Unite America Fund: our nonpartisan philanthropic venture fund. We work to accelerate and scale investment in campaigns and candidates that put voters first, and we do that through our Unite America Fund investment portfolio.
Now, you can easily see where the Unite America Fund has active investments, where we have invested, and where we’ve won. You can learn more about the ongoing campaigns we’re invested in, as well as the reforms they deal with. Fun and informative!
3. Finally, our pièce de résistance
When we started out on this website, we knew the most critical element we wanted to create was comprehensive, easily digestible pages highlighting and explaining the five key solutions we support: open primaries, Ranked Choice Voting, independent redistricting, vote by mail, and Unity Candidates.
If you’ve ever been confused by any of these or questioned why we choose to invest in them, check the pages out. They come with amazing graphics that help to break down and explain the issue, as well as why the reform works.
Plus, at the bottom of every page, there’s a map that shows where these reforms are implemented and how.
We’re so excited for our new website, and for you all to be able to use it as a tool to organize and educate people in your community. Let us know what you think, and share the website with your friends!
