What does being a "Centrist" mean to you, and why did you get involved?
Pragmatic problem solving....the answer is never all the way to the left, or all the way to the right. Being a centrist, to mean, means that we engage in passionate debates and find where the common ground is...that is where we will find our solutions.
What is a policy issue you are passionate about and why?
The military, and what we do with them, is often first thing on my mind in the morning. Social issues (helping those who simply can't help themselves) are a very close second. I come from a very "rough" childhood. I'd like the ones who follow in my proverbial footsteps to have the resources they need to break abuse cycles and reach the opportunities that should be available for us.
How do you think we can unite our country and fix our politics?
We need to stop the us versus them mentality. To do that, we need a cultural/social revolution of sorts and I think the Centrist Project is the first step. Let's give voice and validation to our more moderate members of society and create a disruption that benefits all...not just a few.
