What does being a "Centrist" mean to you, and why did you get involved?
Before discovering the Centrist Project, the thought of a moderate independent movement would keep me awake at night. I couldn't understand how there isn't a place for moderates in our current political environment. To me, our fulcrum strategy seems to hit on a glaring opportunity to significantly change the status quo.
What is a policy issue you are passionate about and why?
Recently, I've been having discussions with an organization here in Chicago focused on redistricting reform about how Chicago Centrists can lend a hand. Gerrymandering is an unfortunate example of partisan self interest.
How do you think we can unite our country and fix our politics?
By creating the infrastructure for independent moderates to run for local, state, and federal office, we have the opportunity to bring compromise and conversation back into our politics.
Anything else you'd like to add?
