Oz Griebel, Governor of Connecticut

Oz Griebel is running for Governor of in Connecticut. Griebel most recently led the MetroHartford Alliance, the largest organization of business leaders in the Hartford region, for nearly two decades.

    

Oz Griebel is a dynamic member of his community. For 17 years he led the region’s largest organization of business leaders and has served on the corporate boards of cutting edge businesses. He has taught and coached at Worcester Academy whilst serving on the boards of community-centric organizations such as that of the University of Hartford, the Wadsworth Atheneum, and the Waterbury Foundation, among many others.

He was named the “business person of the year” by the Hartford Courant (1995) and Harvard Business Journal (2001). Griebel received a B.A. in English from Dartmouth College as well as a J.D. from Suffolk University.

His running mate, Monte Frank is an attorney who previously served as the president of the Connecticut Bar Association. A Cornell University Graduate, Monte has focused his legal career on addressing gun safety and played a prominent role in his hometown community, Newtown, after the tragic shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2012.
