Our Organization

Unite America is a movement to bridge the partisan divide. We advance the movement by working through a number of independent, mission-aligned entities.

The Unite America movement is comprised of several separate, independently-governed organizations –– in order to make the best and most efficient use of our financial resources, and to comply with a complex array of federal and state campaign finance and tax laws and regulations. These organizations include:

Donor Disclosure:

In the interest of full transparency, the Unite America movement voluntarily discloses all of our donors who contribute more than $5,000 to any entity that engages in political activity. We do not accept contributions from corporations, unions, or political action committees (PACs).

National Organizations:

Unite America: A federal “Hybrid PAC” that recruits and supports common-sense, independent candidates for public office, and rallies and organizes voters to support them. Unite America is the primary organization of our movement and is the one you can sign up to join or donate to via this website.

Unite America Election Fund: A federal political committee that makes independent expenditures to support endorsed candidates.

Unite America Congressional Election Fund: A federal political committee that makes independent expenditures to support endorsed candidates who are running for U.S. Congress and are not current state elected officials or candidates.

Unite America Inc.: A 501(c)(4) non-profit social welfare organization that promotes and supports common-sense solutions to some of our nation’s most pressing public policy challenges, and activates grassroots supporters around the country to make their voices heard in the legislative process.

Unite America Institute: A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that encourages broad-based non-partisan civic engagement and political participation and engages in research and scholarly analysis on educate the public on non-partisan solutions for important issues of public concern including the legal, regulatory, political, social and other systemic barriers to voting, running for and serving in elected office by independent voters and candidates.

State Organizations:

Unite Colorado Election Fund: A Colorado-registered political committee that makes independent expenditures to support our endorsed candidates running for state legislature in Colorado.

Unite Colorado Grassroots Election Fund: A Colorado-registered small donor committee that raises money in amounts not to exceed $50 and provides direct contributions to common-sense independent candidates in the state of Colorado

The independent movement is also made of locally organized and governed partner organizations, including two state PACs Unite Arizona and Washington Independents, and Unite New Mexico, which is a project of New Mexico Open Primaries, a federally registered 501(c)4. 

Consulting & Data

The Unite America movement also created and works with two mission aligned social enterprises, Polestar and SwingVote, which provide political consulting services and voter data services, respectively, for the Unite America movement and, more broadly, to candidates and organizations that are part of the independent movement nationwide.
