Nick Thomas, CO CD-2

Nick Thomas is a moderate Independent candidate for Colorado’s 2nd Congressional District. Nick is running to help restore cooperation to the process of governing.

    

Nick earned his BA in Political Science from Colorado State University, his MA in International Diplomacy from Josef Korbel School at University of Denver, and his MBA in International Business from Hult. Over the last ten years, Nick has gained experience working in property management, tech startups, education, travel, and aviation.

Nick started his political career at the Georgia State Capitol and working with the Fund for Southern Communities. He went on to work with both parties in Colorado, including the CSU College Republicans and as an aide to Democratic State Senator Ron Tupa from 2007 to 2008.

In his personal life, Nick has experienced over 70 countries, developing a passion for service and citizen diplomacy. He has been a long-time advocate for Hosteling International, the National Committee on U.S. China Relations and the Martin Luther King Center. In 2009, Nick served as a U.S. Congressional Youth Ambassador to South Korea. He is also an Eagle Scout, a Shafik Gabr Egyptian Fellow, an OFA Fellow, and an active member of the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition.
