Tell Us About Yourself.

I'm from Chicago.

What Does Being A "Centrist" Mean To You, And Why Did You Get Involved?

The Republican and Democratic parties have some valuable views, but the extreme fringes of both parties foster some truly terrible ideas. Being a centrist means accepting the valuable views and ideas regardless of which party they come from and rejecting the toxic components. I got involved because I felt like I was politically alone, unhappy with all political options. But as I spoke to others, I realized that the wide majority of people are actually centrist. I felt it was my responsibility to help bring about the change I want to see.

What Policy Issue Are You Passionate About And Why?

I'm passionate about political reform, because I blame gerrymandering, career politicians, and money in politics for the current political environment. These systemic problems have let loose the extreme fringe of both parties, allowing them to thrive at the expense of the majority in the middle.

How Do You Think We Can Unite Our Country And Fix Politics?

The Centrist Project has a great plan! By concentrating on a few specific senate seats, it is conceivable that centrists will once again have a say in politics. Once this happens, I believe independent and moderate candidates all over the country will stand a chance.
